This product is mushroom compost with a pH of around 6 or 7, give or take .5. Lab tests rate this product from very good to excellent in NKP (ppm rates). It is able to absorb water, allowing for up to 80 percent of its weight. Clay only allows for 15 percent.

Humus is used in preparing holes for planting vegetable gardens, ornamental shrubbery, and flowerbeds. It is also often used as a topdressing when seeding or sodding your lawn.

Typical Uses - Gardens, flowerbeds, also to top dress your lawn.

Coverage - 162 sf per cubic yard at 2" deep or 108 sf per cubic yard at 3" deep.
